Back to Blogging

This blog has been way too quiet. Sometimes I forget my own advice and fall into the Instagram hole, leaving my original content subject to the whims of Mark Zuckerberg and social media trends.

But alas, I’m getting paid to write articles again and need the practice. Hence, Mouth to Mouth musings are back.

So, 2020. How about that?

We all have a story, I won’t bore you with mine. The current result of it all, in summary, is that I now live in Brooklyn, New York. For the first time since I really got into wine, I have access to whatever I fancy. And I fancy experience, so I’m all over the place. Greece, New York, Croatia, and of course my boos, France and Italy…to name a few 🙂

I’ve also begun the WSET Diploma program, so reading about vines occupies much of my time. I think my biggest revelation thus far in D1 is that any current inflorescence (what will turn into a grape) began the year prior. So really, a grape is two years in the making. And by the time you drink the wine, there’s at least a three-year investment.

I applaud you, Vitis vinifera, you lovely woodland climber, you plant that has the capacity to shape culture. You can make your fruit smell like a million other things?! You need order and chaos, nutrients and stress. I love you!

So much so that I attempted to draw and paint you!

So what else is up?

I began writing for Grand Reserve Rewards. My kind of rewards program. Check it out!

I’m always getting creative with kosher wine expert Moshe Mayer and pushing bottles. I’ve been quiet over the last years about my kosher wine experiences, as I have just been taking it all in, but with now more than two years of tasting under my belt, having traveled to France, Spain, Israel and Italy to get to know producers, I’ve got thoughts and they’re coming. Stay tuned 🙂

Did you ever see the website I created for Wildmakers? I built the site and wrote all the content. A few of the images are mine as well. I can do that for you too.

Plus I’ve got some fun things in the works that will slowly but surely come to life as the world awakens from revolutions, pandemics and racism. I believe we’re headed in a good direction. Here’s hoping.

Do follow along on my Insta journey, as I am a frequent story-er, showing the absurdities/wonders of living in New York City. She’s a beast and I’m fascinated. There’s also a fair amount of flower porn. You’ve been warned.

Cheers!
